(Irun, July 29, 2024). UNIRE has established itself as the national industrial summit exclusively dedicated to the joining of materials and their technologies. Over two days (March 18-19, 2025), the event will offer a space for presenting innovations, establishing networking opportunities, and creating new relationships and business agreements.
Marketing with exhibiting companies has already begun and is progressing well. Additionally, the second edition of the welding competition, which received excellent reception in its first edition, will be announced soon. As a novelty and attraction for this second edition, the competition winners will have a chance to secure a spot for the world championship, which will be held in Essen, Germany. This competition, aimed at welding students and young professionals, is coordinated by CESOL (Spanish Association of Welding and Joining Technologies).
Furthermore, the organization, namely Ficoba, along with its collaborating partner CESOL and the technical committee, will set up the program of lectures and round tables on the latest trends in welding and joining technologies.
UNIRE in numbers
The first edition of the welding and joining technologies fair, held on March 8 and 9, 2023, brought together 68 exhibiting companies and 2,000 professional visitors and achieved a high level of satisfaction from both the exhibiting companies and professional visitors. In the surveys conducted, the fair received an overall rating of 4.17 out of 5. Excellent results for a first edition.
Participants wanted to highlight the parallel activities program with 25 sector-specific conferences, demonstrations at the stands, a welding corner, and the concurrent CESOL XXIII Technical Conferences, which took place from March 7 to 9 at the Ficoba auditorium.
Undoubtedly, the celebration of the I UNIRE Welding Competition was another highlight of the fair. An initiative highly valued by the sector, educational centers, and the participants themselves, requiring highly trained professionals.
